Vaughn Duffy is a first-generation family winery based in Sonoma County. The winery specializes in limited production Pinot Noir and other wines spanning Sonoma’s world class range of AVAs. Founders Sara Vaughn and Matt Duffy started in 2009 with just two barrels of wine and a forklift. From these humble origins, Vaughn Duffy now works with renowned growers to craft exceptional small- batch wines that are treasured for their distinct character, uncompromising quality, and the simple joy they bring to life’s gatherings.

This grapes for this wine were sourced entirely from Hopkins River Ranch in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Bob Hopkins has been farming wine grapes on his family’s ranch off Eastside Road since the 1970s. We have been lucky enough to purchase S.B. from Bob from since 2013. We made this wine from a block of Clone 1 Sauvignon Blanc that was planted in 2016. This was our fourth vintage sourcing from this block and we were able to pick the grapes are moderate brix levels and achieve classic Sauvignon Blanc flavors with low alcohol and great acidity.

Our Sauvignon Blanc offers vibrant aromas of jasmine, orange blossom, and floral notes. On the palate the wine enters with juicy acidity and follows with a broad mouthfeel and subtle creaminess. The flavors of pink grapefruit, lemon sherbet, and honeydew melon compliment this refreshing, balanced wine.
