Vaughn Duffy is a first-generation family winery based in Sonoma County. The winery specializes in limited production Pinot Noir and other wines spanning Sonoma’s world class range of AVAs. Founders Sara Vaughn and Matt Duffy started in 2009 with just two barrels of wine and a forklift. From these humble origins, Vaughn Duffy now works with renowned growers to craft exceptional small- batch wines that are treasured for their distinct character, uncompromising quality, and the simple joy they bring to life’s gatherings.

This is our 13th vintage of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Our 2024 version is a blend of two vineyards in the heart of this world-renowned Pinot Noir appellation. The vineyards are: Baer Vineyard (50%) and Bacigalupi (50%) The sites are located less than a mile from one another on legendary Westside Road. This prime location lends itself to the classic Russian River Valley profile of red fruits, sweet baking spices and silky textures. The clonal makeup of the final blend includes Pommard, Wente selection, 115, 667 and 2A.

Our 2024 version of this wine highlights the fruit intensity found in Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. The wine is profoundly aromatic and the red cherry, Santa Rosa plum and baking spice scents hint at the fruit and spice interplay that dances on the palate. The silky texture opens up to classic Russian River Valley Pinot Noir flavors of raspberry preserves, cranberry and notes of cinnamon and clove spice.
