Vaughn Duffy is a first-generation family winery based in Sonoma County. The winery specializes in limited production Pinot Noir and other wines spanning Sonoma’s world class range of AVAs. Founders Sara Vaughn and Matt Duffy started in 2009 with just two barrels of wine and a forklift. From these humble origins, Vaughn Duffy now works with renowned growers to craft exceptional small- batch wines that are treasured for their distinct character, uncompromising quality, and the simple joy they bring to life’s gatherings.

Our goal for this wine is to showcase the outstanding Pinot Noir that can be made across the many AVAs of Sonoma County. This diversity creates a Pinot Noir of complexity and also an opportunity to offer a Pinot bottling that provides high quality and value to the consumer. Our 2024 bottling is from vineyards scattered across the Russian River Valley and Petaluma Gap AVAs. The clonal makeup of the wine includes Pommard, Wente selection, 115, 23 and 459.

The 2024 Vintage highlights the fruit complexity of the outstanding vintage and diversity of vineyards in the blend. The wine’s purple hue hints at the concentration of fruit that follow in the palate. Flavors of black cherry, red plum and a touch of black licorice entice the taster. The layered textures give the wine a pleasant presence that lingers long after the last sip.
