Siete Leguas was founded in 1952 by Ignacio Gonzalez Vargas and his wife, María Amparo De Anda Franco, in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. The brand has two distilleries in Atotonilco, including Fabrica el Centenario, which has three small stone clay ovens surrounding a tahona pit. The stone is pulled by mules twice a day.
