Château Pigoudet, an area once chosen by the Romans for vine planting, has experienced little change since 1820. Managed for several centuries by the Archdiocese of Aix-en-Provence and later divided into multiple parcels after the revolution, the estate has maintained its historical charm. Since 1990, the Rabe family has been overseeing this small farm, complete with ultra-modern facilities. Under the guidance of the talented young vigneron Ivan Khougazian and viticulturist Daniel Laugier, the domaine received Sustainable Agriculture certification HVE Haut Valeur Environnemental in 2019. The south-facing vineyards grow a variety of grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache, Vermentino, Sauvignon, and Grenache Blanc.
The color of the Pigoudet Première Rosé is a gorgeous light pink with bluish undertones. A pleasant, lively, and expressive nose. Having a light, fruity aroma, like white peach, apricot, or litchi. The same enveloping and endearing manner carries over to the palate, where a lively, fruit-driven attack complements the wine's ripe, juicy flavors. Tangy acidity shines through brightly towards the finish. Excellent as an aperitif or simply to enjoy, this rosé is light and fruity.
