Our love letter to the Chardonnay grape: just not the big, over-the-top version that many associate with California. Medium yellow in color, with aromas of white rose, candied lemon rind and a hint of reduction. The aromatics are echoed on the palate, with the addition of green apple, tropical yellow fruit and the smallest hint of dried tea. Great texture and finishes with bright acidity.

Bazzano Vineyard is an organically dry-farmed site on Yolo soils just North of the town of Fulton in the heart of the Russian River Valley. The 7.5 acres of Chardonnay were planted in 1996 to clone 4. Clone 4 is a Wente selection known for a rich, tropical fruit profile, with high acidity.
