Our own epoch officially began in 2004 with the purchase of our Paderewski Vineyard (there is a REALLY cool story behind this property and its name, but in an attempt to not be too long-winded here and now, check out this story for all of the details). This chapter became so fruitful (pun intended) that we spread our roots to Catapult Vineyard in 2008 and then the historic York Mountain Winery two years later.

Today we are beyond blessed to be stewards of these lands, and we are honored to carry on the legacies of York Mountain and Ignacy Paderewski through our wines. Wines that are carefully crafted from Rhone, Zinfandel, Tempranillo, and as of recently, a few Bordeaux varieties. Our Estate Blend provides a snapshot of Epoch vineyards and our specific winemaking practices within every vintage. Though Syrah consistently takes the lead, the exact blend of varieties varies from vintage to vintage. Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Tempranillo regularly play key roles in this wine with occasional cameos from Zinfandel and other varieties. It is totally Epoch!

2022 Estate Blend is a descriptive homage to all the diverse characteristics brought forth from our vineyards during the 2022 vintage –dark, juicy berry fruit, lavender, leather, wet earth, tar, roasted steak, grilled herbs, licorice, and vanilla.  Bold, jammy, lush, black and blue berry fruit enters the palate, flowing into a structured core built for longevity.  Alongside the fruit and savory aspects, dark chocolate, coffee, and graphite notes join the expression as the wine hits the back palate and pushes sensation forward again.
