Château Tayac is located in Margaux , in the Bordeaux wine region. The estate has belonged to the Portet family for 4 generations. The vineyards cover 37 hectares and viticultural practices follow the Cousinié method : a program that encourages observation in the vineyard and dialogue with other winegrowers. He is interested in soil balance and strengthening the natural defenses of the vine. Leaf removal and green harvesting help to control yields.

Château Tayac 2020 is a blend predominantly of Cabernet Sauvignon , supplemented with Merlot and Petit Verdot . The grapes are put into cold pre-fermentation maceration to promote extraction. Vatting lasts 26 to 31 days in stainless steel and cement vats. The wine is aged for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels, 35% of which are new.
