Founded in 1996, Brewer-Clifton wines are a reflection of the geographic, geologic and climatic uniqueness of California’s Sta. Rita Hills appellation in Santa Barbara County. Founder and Winemaker Greg Brewer has spent the entirety of his three-decade career dedicated to crafting cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from this finite stretch of land.
Soft, round, red fruit, black fruit, floral, spice, earthy, minerality
This Pinot Noir is our appellation voice: a composite portrait of Sta. Rita Hills told through fruit, structure and restraint. We seek transparency over imprint, allowing the vineyard sources to lead. Expect red cherry, raspberry, savory herbs and gentle spice, framed by fine tannins and the cool-climate freshness that defines the region.
Only neutral barrels are employed. We strive for whole cluster fermentation. We farm with a focus of ripening the stems alongside the fruit, allowing the cluster to be in harmony. Working with the stems allows for wines that are structured, earthy and balanced with our beautiful Sta. Rita Hills fruit. All of the wines are produced with the intention of aging and cellaring for at least 10 years and can easily be enjoyed after 15 years.
