The Anne Pichon Sauvage estate was founded by Anne and Marc Pichon in 2008. It is located at the foot of Mont Ventoux, in the village of Mormoiron.
Famous for the Tour de France, this towering mountain—known as the "Giant of Provence"—offers a cooler climate. The fresh mountain air sweeps down to the vineyards, helping to balance the hot, dry conditions of the Southern Rhône.
They built terraces facing Mont Ventoux, converted the estate to organic farming, and continually enhanced biodiversity in the vineyards. The estate cultivates 50 hectares of vines, vinified without additives except for sulfites at bottling. The wines are lively, pure, and authentic.
A pale pink-hued, aromatic rosé, the Gris Montagne is a finely balanced blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, and Carignan. From its windswept vineyard, the wine channels fresh notes of red currant, tangerine, pomegranate, raspberry, nectarine, and white flowers. The Gris Montagne has a pale pink color. Pretty aromatic and fresh with notes of redcurrant, tangerine, pomegranate, raspberry, nectarine and white flowers.
Gally's Notes: Located in far Southeastern Rhône this is right next to Provence. Organic and Biodynamic Farming.
